Website for Spongebob
The SpongeBob Portfolio is a lighthearted practice project I built to learn and experiment with SvelteKit. I imagined what it would be like if you could actually hire SpongeBob as your best bud — and that became the theme of this mock portfolio site. The goal wasn't complexity — it was about bringing SpongeBob's cheerful character to life through animation, personality, and color while exploring SvelteKit's unique workflow.
Design & UI
he design captures the spirit of Bikini Bottom — bright, bubbly, and full of charm. The homepage instantly feels playful with underwater particle bubbles floating across the screen. The About section gives a humorous take on SpongeBob's “work-life balance,” written like a real candidate bio. The Skills section showcases SpongeBob's “qualifications” — from flipping Krabby Patties to spreading joy. The entire site is cute, simple, and interactive, with soft animations and clean layouts that keep the focus on fun.

Development Journey
This was my first dive into SvelteKit, and I quickly realized how powerful and intuitive it is — especially for developers coming from React or Next.js. Its simplicity reminded me of vanilla JavaScript, yet its structure and performance felt on par with frameworks like Next.js, which made the experience smooth and exciting. Building this project helped me understand Svelte's reactivity model, transitions, and component logic — all while crafting something whimsical and joyful.
Reflection
The SpongeBob Portfolio might be small, but it's one of my most joyful creations. It reminded me that coding can (and should) be fun. Through this project, I not only learned SvelteKit but also rediscovered how imagination can turn a simple concept into something that makes people smile — even if it's just a fictional resume for everyone's favorite sponge. 🌊
