PoPoetry
THIS PROJECT IS STILL UNDER DEVELOPMENT. NOT YET DEPLOYED. A blogging app for people who like poetry. I personally love reading beautiful poems written by talented people. So I thought of keeping a scrapbook for poetry and then envisioned this app "PoPoetry" where an individual can write their own poems and publish them. Recently I started shifting towards NextJS from React, and this one really pushed me off a cliff because of all those bugs I am getting.
Design & UI
PoPoetry features a grid-style card layout where each poem is displayed neatly on the homepage. Clicking “View Details” opens a dedicated page that showcases the full poem with a focus on typography, spacing, and simplicity. The aesthetic is minimalistic black and white, creating a calm, elegant reading experience. It's fully responsive, ensuring a consistent design across all devices.

Development Journey
🚀 Development Journey Transitioning to Next.js was an exciting challenge — I learned how it supports both frontend and backend workflows in a single environment. Setting up Auth.js made authentication effortless, while experimenting with Sanity CMS introduced me to the world of headless content management. Although I faced a few beginner challenges with content posting, each hurdle helped me grow as a developer. I'm now finalizing the poem submission feature and plan to revisit the app afterward to refine certain features and polish the overall experience.
Reflection
Building PoPoetry has been one of my favorite projects so far. It allowed me to merge creativity and technology — combining the emotional beauty of poetry with the precision of clean design and modern web development. This project taught me not just technical skills, but also how to build something meaningful that reflects who I am as both a developer and a creative.
